All-Whites Drawn Out Of World Cup Picture

Paston and Reid...bring on Brazil 2014
Mark Paston had another stellar game (MY Man of the Match — perhaps we’ll see him in Serie A before long?), but there was no joy on the other end this time as undefeated New Zealand heads home with their heads held high. The foundations have been laid for future success with the addition a few more puzzle pieces in midfield. Great fun following these guys, they had total commitment and focus. Lack of respect may have been a factor in these games in varying ways, but they never stopped respecting themselves. Bravo.

A Lot of Draws May Lead To Draw of Lots
After all the inspiring performances we have been treated to by the All-Whites in the last couple of games, the quite real possibility looms that their world Cup could end in the most deflating of ways. Lots.

Well, more history has been made, the All Whites got a draw with holders Italy, and there was more than a hint of disappointment that they didn’t take all three points.

Now For The Battle Of Masterminds
The Italian media has been portraying Italy-New Zealand as a huge mismatch, some even suggesting that the Azzuri rest many of their starters for Slovakia and the assumed beyond. The pre-Confederations friendly barely won 4-3 is dismissed as a training exercise for the back-ups and youngsters.
However, the cagey Azurri manager knows otherwise, one can be sure. And the wiley New ... [read more]

Pippo Scores, Tiziano Crudeli Weeps
This is, incredibly, not too far off the norm for Tiziano Crudeli, journalist, commentator and Milan fan extraodinaire. He's a touch passionate about the Rossoneri and as one would expect, more than a touch passionate for icon Pippo Inzaghi's last game for the club on the weekend. Standard fare... And then ...

Enjoy Landycakes enjoying some First Bottom. In a room of armed men hell bent on protecting the object of his lurid fantasies at all costs. Or maybe they're there hunting down that dude straight out of the WWII flick on the left, looking like he's about to pillage something. (No comment.) And ...
Torching Burnt Bridges With Samir Nasri
Cripes, Manchester City's all over the place these days. One supposes with that ending they're allowed to be. Also: money's compelling. Don't ever think otherwise. They won the title this weekend after spending oodles and oodles of money the last few seasons. One oodle was Samir Nasri, you might recall, ...
The Charging Wolves Fan

Carlos Tevez v Fergie: The Title Celebration
At current pace, the Manchester Derby could settle right below Clasico levels in a few years time. The spending and success on the blue side of town will only breed animosity, while history still remains firmly in the red half of town. Plus Carlos Tevez will be involved* and nothing fans ...
Felipe Melo Finds His Fire Hydrant
